On 12 September 2026, Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto won their Paris Major semi-final against Paquito Navarro and Martín Di Nenno 7-5, 6-2. On Court Philippe-Chatrier at Roland-Garros, the first set stayed tight until the very end. After that, the gap grew.

How the match unfolded

At 5-5 in the first set, both pairs still needed two more games. Galán and Chingotto got the break at that stage and took the set 7-5. Navarro and Di Nenno had kept pace for a long time, but still found themselves a set down.

In the second set the margin grew: 6-2. That meant there was no repeat of their meeting in Madrid on 4 September 2026, when Galán and Chingotto only won in the third-set tiebreak.

What went well for Galán and Chingotto

Galán made the difference on his side of the court. In attack he could apply pressure there, and the pair won the first set just as a tiebreak was coming into view. After that, they didn't give Navarro and Di Nenno a third set.

For us, the value of this win lay mainly in that transition. Winning a tough first set is one thing. Then taking the second set comfortably as well meant they could close out the match without another deciding set.

Where Navarro and Di Nenno fell short

Navarro and Di Nenno had earned their place in this semi-final with a win over Franco Stupaczuk and Jon Sanz. In that quarter-final they turned the match around after losing the first set: 4-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Against Galán and Chingotto, they couldn't do it again. The end of the first set weighed especially heavily. From 5-5 they lost the set, and in the second set they won only two more games. The score therefore shows two different phases: first a small margin, then a clearer gap.

The rackets of these players

If this match leads you to the rackets, you'll find Galán's name in the Adidas Metalbone line. At Holland Padel we stock, among others, the Adidas Metalbone 3.5 Ale Galán 2026 and the Metalbone HRD+ 3.5 Ale Galán 2026. These are different versions. The same player's name on both models doesn't make them the same racket.

Chingotto is linked to the Bullpadel Neuron line. Our range includes the Bullpadel Neuron 02 2026. Paquito Navarro is linked to the Hack line, with the Bullpadel Hack 04 2026 as the model from that collection. The product buttons are kept separate from the report, so you can view and compare the versions.

We couldn't establish with certainty which version and setup the players used in this particular semi-final. That's why we don't link the result to a specific model from our shop.

Finally

With this win, Galán and Chingotto reached the final against Agustín Tapia and Arturo Coello. For Navarro and Di Nenno, the Paris Major ended in the semi-final.
